Cabernet Sauvignon 1995 Yair Margalit
11/97. Bought locally Apr-97 for $26.
The currant vintage from one of the best Israeli boutique wineries.
COLOR: Medium purple red. Not as dark looking as some other Israeli Cabs.
NOSE: Nice clean red fruit nose. Nothing of the 'jammy' aromas I often find in
Margalit's wines. Moderate yet very pleasant bouquet.
TASTE: Fruity, tasty, fresh yet not simple. Again, far from the sweet concoction
these wines are many times noted (blamed?) for. Better than the 1994 but not as
concentrated as the 1993.
LENGTH: Not really noticeable.
TEXTURE & BALANCE: Medium bodied wine. Pleasant fruit, good acidity soft tannins.
No big concentration here but neither diluted or watery.
OVERALL: Very good wine. Much better balanced then usual for this winery.
MARK: 16+/20.aaaaaaaaBUY MORE? Maybe.
