Riesling 'Frederic Emile' 1986, Trimbach - Typical Riesling nose, semi-dry palate. Nice but nothing to write home about.
Good-plus. MARK 16.5/20.
Riesling 'Frederic Emile' 1979, Trimbach - Drier, more harmonious and more interesting than the 1986.
Very Good. MARK 17/20.

Corton Charlemagne 1997, Bonneau du Martray - Floral and minerally nose, young, pretty nice but lacks real depth for Corton Charlemagne.
Very Good. MARK 17/20.
Corton Charlemagne 1997, Louis Latour - Too much wood for a vintage that lacks concentration. A bit unbalanced.
Good. MARK 16/20.
Corton Charlemagne 1996, Bonneau du Martray - Deep minerally nose. Nicely concentrated. Tasty and winey yet somewhat unbalanced on the palate.
Fine. MARK 17.5/20.
Corton Charlemagne 1996, Louis Latour - Concentrated nose of minerals and white fruits. Wood much more integrated than the 1987. Deep on the palate with good length. Still very young.
Very Fine. MARK 18/20.

Volnay 'Champans' 1990, Comtes Lafon - Weak but discernible red fruit (raspberries?). Delicate and elegant on the palate. Typical Volnay.
Fine. MARK 17.5/20.
Volnay Santenots-du-Milieu 1990, Comtes Lafon - Much older vines. Deep nose of full and mature red fruit. Very winey, more robust than the Champans. Perfectly balanced.
Very Fine. MARK 18/20.
Pommard 'Clos des Epeneaux' 1990, Comte Armand - Reasonable but a bit coarse nose. Too rough on the palate with little harmony. Quite disappointing.
Good. MARK 16/20.
Corton 'Clos des Cortons' 1990, J. Faiveley - Complex nose of red fruits surrounded by clean 'Bourgogne Nose'. Sweetish flavors of ripe fruit. Winey and harmonious with very good length.
Superb. MARK 18.5/20.

Riesling SGN 1985, Hugel - Deep golden color. Sweet, honeyed and multi-layered nose. Full, concentrated and sweet on the palate. Long finish.
Very Fine. MARK 18/20.
Riesling SGN 1976, Hugel - A bit lighter in appearance than the '85. Perfectly harmonious nose. A touch less sweet on the palate but perfectly balanced. Wonderful.
Superb. MARK 18.5/20.
